Six minutes to Ft. Knox, 15 minutes to Elizabethtown, this dog-friendly home is on 2 beautiful acres in a central location with easy access to the main roads.

The front porch swing overlooking the front yard with mature shade trees is a delightful place to relax. The large, fenced backyard is ideal for kids and pets whether practicing sports or napping in a hammock.

Enjoy two updated bathrooms, plus three separate bedrooms, full kitchen, dining area and living room.

This airbnb includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with a clawfoot soaking tub), a living room, dining area, and a fully furnished kitchen which includes microwave, toaster, Keurig, 12-cup coffee pot, stove with full size oven, and fridge with ice maker. The large fenced back yard makes it ideal for traveling with kids or dogs (must be approved in advance -- ask for the dog rules.

Guests have full access to the entire main floor of the house. Guests do not have access to the garage, basement or shed all of which are currently used for storage.

Family Retreat is a self check-in airbnb, and it is possible we won't meet at all. That said, we live about 10 minutes away, so don't hesitate to call or text if you need something or you have any issues.

Family Retreat is set back off of the main road by a long driveway. Sidewalks are on both sides of the main road if you desire to exercise by walking or running.

To get to Fort Knox, turn left out of the driveway and continue on Logsdon until the road ends, then turn Right and it will take you directly to the Chaffee Gate (visitor's center gate of Ft Knox).

The fastest way to get to Elizabethtown is to turn RIGHT from the driveway and continue on this road until it comes to a T-intersection that will force you to turn left or right. Turn LEFT (Hwy 313), then turn RIGHT at the first light which will put you on Patriot Parkway. From here, the second light will be in Elizabethtown at the intersection of Patriot Parkway and Ring Road. Turn RIGHT at this light to go to the Elizabethtown Sports Complex. Turn LEFT to go toward dining and shopping in Elizabethtown.

If you're bringing an infant and need a pack'n'play or other baby stuff, please let me know prior to arrival.

This house "can" sleep 8 if one person is on the couch and another person is on a twin roll-away bed. If you need the roll-away twin bed, please let us know prior to your day of arrival and we will ensure it is in the house with adequate bedding.

MAIL SERVICE: Due to residency laws and restrictions, please do not use airbnb property address for personal information, government paperwork, mail, deliveries, or packages of any kind. Any mail received at rental property address will be returned to sender. There is a post office less than one mile away, and a UPS store in Elizabethtown. Guests may set up mail deliveries to either of those places or any other off-site location of guest's choice.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: Ninety-four percent (94.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Forty-four percent (44.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 15 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 15 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
